Project Overview:
We were commissioned by a healthcare client to replace an ageing externally mounted sliding door system that had suffered repeated breakdowns due to water ingress and electrical faults. The objective was to provide a modern, reliable and low-maintenance access solution that eliminated these ongoing issues. We specified, supplied and installed a robust automatic swing door system designed for long-term performance, while integrating cleanly with the building’s existing structure.
A complete change in door type meant a void was left internally where the previous sliding doors framework had been positioned. We engaged with a team who fully plastered and painted this area to achieve a seamless internal finish. Externally, additional angle plates were used to provide a clean and uniform appearance. All new electronics and controls were installed internally, removing the historic problem of weather exposure and ensuring the system remained protected from future water-related failures.

Installation & Coordination
We carried out detailed pre-installation checks, confirmed fixing points and ensured all power requirements were ready prior to commencement. The existing sliding system was removed, and the new swing door operator was installed with precision to ensure optimal functionality. By relocating all electronics internally, we provided the client with a far more robust system protected from environmental damage.
Externally, angle plates were added to tidy the façade, and internal making-good works were completed to a high standard. The system was then thoroughly tested, with full demonstrations provided to the client’s team.
Completion
The installation was delivered within the agreed timeframe. Commissioning sheets, user guidance and all safety confirmations were issued upon handover. With the client present, we verified the operation of safety features and controls, ensuring full confidence in the new system.
