We were commissioned by our customer to assist with specification, supply and installation of the automatic door entry systems at a specialist medical centre in Stratford, London. The brief was clear, for this part of our project the customer required simple functionality systems with infectinon control in focus and longevity in mind given difficult hours of access to maintain.

- Optimised opening and closing speeds, paired with the advanced
sensors, contribute to energy savings by minimising unnecessary air exchange. This helps maintain stable temperatures and controlled environments in theatre rooms. - The doors support strict hygiene protocols. With touchless and
microbial resistant pads, the system helps prevent the spread of germs, which is vital for infection control within the hospitals theatre setting. - Engineered systems for whisper-quiet performance, the doors minimise noise disruption. This was essential for the client.
Challenges
We were advised by our client during the testing period of these systems that some of the push pads would open multiple doors from time to time. We worked with the manufacturer to identify that the problem was due to a cross over of radio frequency between the push pads and receivers. Our solution was to factory reset all receivers and calibrate accordingly.
Completion
- We managed to complete this phase of the project within the timelines with all documentation filed and ready to provide to the end user.
- We provided a courtesy visit 6 months post completion to give the systems a health check and to discuss with site staff of the operation in the live theatre setting was working well.
- Overall, our attention to detail and expertise in this field alllowed for smooth progression with this project resulting in a happy customer and stress free end users.
